[Douglas Harkmury]

Saturday, huh? Also he's inviting me again. That son of a bitch's gotten his 3rd girlfriend but what the hell does he want from me anyways? Not like I can help since I've already given him every advice a 3rd wheel can offer. Maybe I'm just a bad support, but who cares? He asks a friend who doesn't have any girlfriend. But to be fair, my co-workers are just 85% women in the desks and I hang out with them most of the time. I don't feel like trying to get where my boss is going with that amount so I'll leave him be. I just want alone time right now, but I'm too worried he'll feel nervous like last time when his 2nd ex kicked him in his jewels for finding out he has a 1st. Perhaps I should go incognito and look at their relationship. I could also give him a heads up when he feels out of his character. Their date should be tomorrow, may as well grab some popcorns for the show.

Anyhows, I spent my day doing nothing at all. The new TV shows that kicked in were pretty cool but I have high expectations they'll go down the drain just like a few other shows on the long run. The web is littered with nothing but bad news as usual, something along the lines of "ongoing war between this country and that country" or "a research institution from Portville lost samples of rogue dark fluid". My personal favorite bad news is the gaming community protest on event rewards and I like to see where that fire goes. I eat, sleep, watch TV, surf the web in the weekends... I kinda like this living, but I might regret it sooner.

(sigh) I wish this day would last longer. Night time is nice and relaxing, but it's just a sign that I will have more work to do once my weekend is over. I've been trying to slow down time by fiddling with my phone, but of course being relaxed topples doing something even as small as looking at your phone. Well, today is just another usual day. Tomorrow is just a 50/50 and I hope something nice happens.

As I lay down to rest, somehow, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'm being watched. If this is gonna end up making me nightmares, I better continue doing whatever I want with my phone, that'll solve the problem!iu_435005_7464667.webp

[Recording from Mchalagan]

Record 211-B, this is Professor Mchalagan

Regarding the unknown specimen that escaped the facility, we are currently unable to locate it for the time being. It's been 2 days since it has escaped and we couldn't find this specimen nor any of its entrails around the laboratory. It is a surprising discovery that it has learned to do such evasive tactics with minimal to no evidence left behind. The first discovery of this specimen was in 415 N Amplehouse street in Outshineville where the locals complained of something hiding inside the mailbox. The data we learned from this specimen so far is that it's highly nocturnal, only present in areas of low visibility. However, that's no longer the case anymore since this specimen broke open its containment guarded with visible light frequency and fully tempered glass. CCTV last showed the creature hiding in one of the dark corners of the laboratory before fully disappearing. This is... interesting. It seems to have broke the scientific discourse on modern physics regarding umbral matter. The more we learn about this specimen, the better we understand the physics of light and dark properties. Eventually, we may even learn to teleportation... or- or harness it into energy through master control of light in order to make an automated solar energy that doesn't require sunlight! Ahem... I'm getting too ahead of myself. We shall be needing assistance from the government to gain an upperhand on this search. My team and I shall continue discussing certain theories in a different recording.

Out.
